Re-Entry Programs

Department of Human Services (DHS) Jail Collaborative/Adult Reentry

The Jail Collaborative provides transportation assistance to individuals recently released from incarceration at the County level, to allow access to medical appointments, job search/employment activities as well other daily living needs.

Who Is Eligible

Clients enrolled, and actively receiving services through the Jail Collaborative/Reentry Program.

How To Enroll

Program does not offer open enrollment. Potential participants can contact Case Service Coordinator (CSC) or Probation Officer.

Duration and Type of Assistance Offered

Duration is determined by the Jail Collaborative, Port Authority monthly bus passes/bus tickets.

Transportation Offered

Pittsburgh Regional Transit Bus Pass or Transit Tickets

Justice Related Services (JRS)

Provides transportation to clients who are involved with the judicial system with regards to mental illness, substance abuse or criminal-related issues in order to comply with court orders set before and after incarceration.

Who Is Eligible

Clients must be receiving services through JRS to potentially qualify for this program; Travelers Aid does not determine eligibility.

How To Enroll

Program does not offer open enrollment. Potential participants are identified by partnering programs.

Duration and Type of Assistance Offered: Duration is determined by JRS Caseworker.
